That's a Wrap!

The school year has come to an end and it is officially summer!! This semester ended at the beginning of the month, but it's been packed with end of year events and a 10 day trip to the Student Institute of Campus Ministry (SICM) in Washington.

Here are some pictures that capture the highlights from the month.

These are all of the girl student leaders at our end of year potluck together. Every one of them gave around 15 hours to serve and lead students on campus.

This was our last night of worship together for the semester. It was sweet to come together for a meal, reflection on the year, and lots of fun and games before heading into the summer.

The theme of our end of year party was "Tacky Tourist" so every small group sent their tackiest representative for a tacky competition.

Here is my small group I led with Renee this year in our tacky tourist get up. We all went thrift shopping together and had so much fun making this happen!

This is a picture from one of our sessions at SICM. A ministry we partner with at Western Washington University puts on an awesome conference full of great classes and teachings geared towards training students to lead in ministries on campus. We took about 15 students from Collin and 100 students from FOCUS as a whole. It was incredible to see so many students excited to kick off their summer by sitting through more classes.

Kally and Tamar are two Collin students who came to SICM this year and I got to house with them all week. I loved having late night chats with them and getting to know our awesome hosts all together!

I got to take these girls out for a short hike to Snoqualmie Falls on one of our sightseeing days in Seattle and we had a great time! They were fun to get to know better and were so patient with me even when it was a bit hard for me to hike back up considering I was 19 weeks pregnant.

All in all it's been an incredible year and I am leaving it encouraged and hopeful for the year to come.

Please be praying for our students and staff this summer to have purposeful rest, connection with the Lord, and time with the people they God to know this year. Please also be praying for fundraising as the season is now in full swing!
