We only have one month left in this apprenticeship! And May is proving to be a full month to close it out. This last month, however, has been slow-paced as we've adjusted to virtual ministry. Because of this, the apprentices have been going over spiritual disciplines in one of our classes. It's been really helpful in this season to help us think through how we can spend some of our extra time. Some we went through were prayer, surrender, and solitude. At the beginning of April, I was pretty anxious and uneasy about all of the changes. It wasn't easy to pray and surrender that by any means, but God has been so sweet in providing me with peace and joy. It isn't every day that I have a better outlook or feel completely at ease, but God has been faithful and an extravagant giver. I've also seen that as I've been building my team for the next year. Each one of you has been a valuable member to my team this last year, and I'm so thankful for your generosity and partnership with me.

This is my cofa (co-small group leader) from this year, Kortny. I'm excited to continue building our friendship after the year ends. |
Since I don't have much news to share from April, I do want to take a little moment to show some love to my supervisor. Dani has met with me every week this year to allow me reflect week-to-week on this apprenticeship as well as help me learn how to minister to students in different situations. She's not only been a great mentor, but a loyal friend and I've loved getting to work alongside her this year. Mid-April, Dani had her first baby!! Since she's on maternity leave, I've gotten to meet with some of the student leaders she met with all year and they have been great to meet with! They show up to our time together eager to talk not only about how they're doing and to ask questions, but each one has taken the time to get to know me in return and ask how I'm doing. Our students have the biggest hearts!

Dani introduced me to Beard Papa's - a delicious and cute little bakery where you can build your own cream puffs! |
Prayer Requests:
- Pray for our students heading into finals week!
- Pray for our entire staff and future apprentice team as we continue to fundraise. I'm officially over halfway to my goal!
- Pray for our staff team as we begin to make summer plans for our students.
- Pray for all of the apprentices as we finish up the year. We've got a few more classes yet and final sermons coming up and we want to finish strong.
As always, thank you thank you thank you.
Love,
Jacy Garcia
